I’ve always been involved in all kinds of creative expression and media beginning in third grade with taking photographs with my little Brownie camera at the Field Museum in Chicago. This eventually led to a BA in Photography from Columbia College, Chicago. I’ve been a full-time resident of Lopez Island for 40 years, and have worked in the classroom with children teaching photography, podcasting, and film-making and was part-time technical director at the Lopez Island Family Resource Center. Among many things, I am a former founding member of an artist’s co-op, Chimera, that is still going 39 years strong. I held a job as marketing director for an audio software company, which in turn created a keen interest in Internet & terrestrial radio, and technology. I held a board position on our local low-power FM station and consulted & set-up many tech related systems, and also served on the programming & youth committees.

For several years I produced a concert series at the Lopez Island Grange & Woodmen Hall called the “Home on the Grange Series,” featuring many prominent independent acoustic musicians. In the span of five years, I produced 30 shows. I had a radio program on KLOI 102.9 called Gleanings. Many of the skills I have honed over the years I’ve been directly able to put to use working on publicity, promotions for musicians, and others.

I have had articles/reviews placed in Nat'l and International publications large and small including: Relix, Sing Out!, No Depression, Boulder Magazine, Willamette Weekly and others. The artists I've worked with have received airplay on NPR, AAA, and Community radio stations in the US as well as speciality shows in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.  Their music has been played and on-air appearances include local and syndicated shows such as: FolkScene, The Midnight Special, Song of the Soul, Jefferson Public Radio, MTV Hive, Colorado Public Radio, KEXP, KBOO, KBCS, KLCC, KPR and others.

I have worked with musicians Kora Feder, Elephant Revival, Alice DiMicele, Shook Twins, Trout Steak Revival, Joanne Rand, The Lark And The Loon, Genevieve Charbonneau, Myshkin's Ruby Warblers, Taarka, Reed Foehl, MaMuse, Jim Page, Rachel Garlin, Carolyn Cruso and many more. I've also worked on festival events such as Conscious New Years 2012, BurntwoodsStock and others.

I’m currently volunteering at our 121-year-old historic Center School, aka Lopez Grange, writing grants for maintenance and restoration and hosting films and concerts.

I would be glad to share with you links to articles published, samples of my writing, and references.
